PDF Desk terms of use

1. About these terms

These terms cover your use of the PDF Desk browser extension, published by Gareth Evans, a sole trader in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). gabbaworks.com is our website. By installing or using PDF Desk, you agree to these terms. Nothing in them excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded (see section 5).

2. PDF Desk is free

• PDF Desk is free to use for personal and business purposes. There's no payment, account or subscription.

3. Using PDF Desk

• You're responsible for the documents you open, sign or change, and for having the right to do so. A signature added with PDF Desk is an image placed on the page. Whether it's legally effective for a particular document is up to you and the people you're dealing with.
• Don't resell or redistribute PDF Desk, or present a modified copy as ours. Open-source components bundled in PDF Desk remain under their own licences.

4. Changes to PDF Desk and these terms

We may improve or change PDF Desk, or stop offering it. If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its effective date before the change applies.

5. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

If you're a consumer in Australia, PDF Desk comes with any guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those guarantees or the remedies they give you. If something isn't working as it should, email support@gabbaworks.com and we'll help. Users outside Australia also keep any rights they have under their local consumer laws.

6. Liability

We work hard to make PDF Desk reliable. Please keep a copy of your original files: PDF Desk always saves a new copy and never changes your original. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that applies.

7. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how PDF Desk handles information. In short, the extension makes no network requests and never uploads your files.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. This doesn't take away any consumer protections you have under the laws of the place where you live.
